1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer with at least 1 year of cardiac sonography experience, including adult TTE, TEE, and stress echo, for a 13-week travel assignment in Mankato, MN. Details Echocardiography department in an outpatient and inpatient hospital setting Patient population ranges from pediatric (age 5+) to geriatric, including neonate to geriatric for inpatient care Procedures include adult TTE, transesophageal echo (TEE), stress echo, emergency echo, contrast studies (Definity, Optison, and bubble/agitated saline studies), and PISA quantification and strain imaging Simple pediatric indications such as murmur and bicuspid aortic valve in patients age 5 and older Charting via Epic Monday through Friday, varying shifts between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM 40-hour work week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week No weekends or call required for this assignment On-site only — no telework option Requirements Minimum of 1 year of cardiac sonography experience required Experience in adult TTE, TEE, stress echo, emergency echo, outpatient and inpatient settings, and contrast echo studies Associate's degree or graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program required ARDMS RDCS or CCI RCS certification required Active BLS certification required (AHA or American Red Cross) Active license required if applicable No pending licenses accepted COVID vaccination and booster required Must be able to tolerate frequent walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching above shoulder level, and occasional twisting and turning Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, hear at ordinary conversation level, and possess good visual acuity Additional Information Performs complete echocardiographic studies integrating all cardiac echo imaging modalities, documenting patient data and exam information accurately in the Echo Information Management System and Epic Collaborates with Lead and Advanced Cardiac Sonographers, Echocardiographers, Physicians, and other team members to assist in interpretation of findings Assists in the orientation, training, and education of trainees, students, and visitors Demonstrates flexibility across all equipment, imaging specialties, and echocardiography procedures Must understand sterile procedures and isolation precaution techniques Holiday coverage may be expected as needed Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a 30-60 day break is required before returning to a new assignment Date of birth (DOB) is required for consideration
