The Vascular Lab provides a full range of non-invasive diagnostic vascular ultrasound services , supporting both outpatient and inpatient care. We perform a wide variety of exams, including arterial, venous, carotid, mesenteric, renal, graft surveillance, and specialized testing to support our busy surgical and clinical practice. Sonographers work at the top of their certification and are trusted clinical partners in evaluating complex vascular disease. Vascular Sonographer In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered vascular ultrasound imaging and collaborate closely with vascular surgeons and advanced practice providers in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality non-invasive vascular diagnostic examinations using duplex ultrasound technology. Accurately acquire, analyze, and document data for interpretation by the vascular surgeon. Assist clinicians in developing care plans by providing timely and precise clinical information. Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members to ensure understanding and comfort. Maintain equipment, exam rooms, and supplies in accordance with accreditation and safety standards. Support quality assurance initiatives, ongoing education, and IAC accreditation compliance. Work collaboratively with the full vascular team to ensure excellent patient care and clinical outcomes. Clinic Hours & Work Schedule The Vascular Lab primarily operates Monday-Friday with daytime hours (7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.). Occasional rotation to support coverage needs may occur depending on patient volume and department needs.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited vascular ultrasound program (or general ultrasound program with vascular concentration). RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) credential required, or eligibility to obtain within designated timeframe. Previous vascular ultrasound experience preferred; new graduates welcome with appropriate training and support. Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications:
Strong technical proficiency in vascular imaging, including waveform analysis and detailed hemodynamic assessment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and conditions. Ability to work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative team environment. Experience with electronic medical records and basic computer skills required. Commitment to professionalism, ethical practice, and ongoing clinical learning.
Pay:
$45.07 - $61.82 per hour
