The Breast Health Center at Regions Hospital has an opening for a Ultrasound Technologist. Our Breast Health Center performs diagnostic work, breast ultrasounds, and procedures which include biopsies and seed placements to help in the diagnosis of breast cancer or other breast health problems. These exams require independent judgment and initiative, and you will work with patients of all cultures and physical conditions. Technologists get a variety of experiences and work closely under the direction of our Radiologists. We are a small dedicated team that enjoys working together, and also offer education reimbursement toward continuing education!
Work Schedule:
On need basis. Hours offered would be Monday- Friday between hours of 7-4:30pmRequired Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited two-year allied health program OR two years of college with emphasis on the biological sciences and completion of a formal medical sonography training program (one-year minimum) OR equivalent experience. ARDMS registry on or before first day of employment. Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) registry on or before first day of employment. BLS certification from an AHA- or ARC-sponsored program on or before the first day of employment.Preferred Qualifications:
