The Mammography Technologist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic mammography services while ensuring compliance with MQSA and ACR standards. This position works closely with the Lead Interpreting Physician (LIP) and other imaging professionals to support superior image quality, patient safety, and continuous performance improvement. What You'll Do Perform high-quality mammographic imaging following ACR and department protocols. Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, including MQSA's EQUIP program. Collaborate with the Lead Interpreting Physician and team to maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements. Assist with the training and evaluation of new mammography staff. Support additional imaging modalities as needed at assigned locations. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from an accredited radiology program ARRT certification; must maintain active registration status Willingness and ability to perform diagnostic X-ray procedures as needed Ongoing compliance with MQSA continuing education and experience requirements Current CPR certification (must be maintained) Strong verbal and written communication skills Computer literacy and proficiency with imaging systems Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist patients safely Willingness to travel to multiple University Health locations as needed Preferred Qualifications One (1) year of mammography experience; RT (R)(M) certification Experience with mammography quality control and assurance programs Strong knowledge of MQSA and ACR accreditation standards Ability to cross-train and successfully complete additional imaging competencies Truman Medical Centers is committed to being a leader in providing culturally inclusive health care services for patients in ways that are effective, fair, respectful, and culturally competent and in providing a culturally inclusive workplace for employees.
