The Lead Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for directing the activities of Ultrasound Technologists on the assigned shift. A Brief Overview The Lead Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for directing the activities of Ultrasound Technologists on the assigned shift. What you will do Provides Practice Excellence through assessment, care, evaluation and education to patients and families in accordance with established policies and procedures. Maintains and promotes compliance with all regulatory requirements, reimbursement standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Provides Leadership Excellence in the clinical practice area. Collaborates with technical staff in organizing daily workflow and patient care. Demonstrates a commitment to Learning Excellence through professional development and clinical expertise. Ability to understand and prepare complex written materials, such as patient records and technical manuals. Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers, physicians and patients and their families. Prepared by education, training, or experience to work with adult, geriatric, pediatric, or neonate patients. Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and maintain control of workflow. Supervision Provided by this Position Leads and guides Ultrasound Techs and trainees. Physical Demands The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion.
