Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques, along with excellent patient care skills. The Sonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnostic information. Duties Perform ultrasound examinations on patients following established protocols and procedures. Assess and evaluate images for quality and accuracy, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards. Collaborate with physicians to discuss findings and assist in determining the appropriate course of action. Maintain patient records, documenting procedures performed and any relevant observations. Educate patients about the ultrasound process, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the examination. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Stay current with advancements in sonography technology and techniques through continuous education. Skills Proficient in Sonography techniques and practices. Strong knowledge of Anatomy , Physiology , and Medicine as it relates to diagnostic imaging. Familiarity with Diagnostic Radiology principles and Medical Imaging technologies. Excellent Patient Care skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in patient interactions. Understanding of Ob/Gyn procedures, particularly in relation to obstetric and gynecological ultrasounds. Knowledge of Medical Terminology relevant to sonography practices. Strong communication skills to effectively relay information to patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
