1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with at least 1 year of experience performing general and vascular ultrasound procedures in an acute care setting. Details Ultrasound department within a regional hospital setting Scope includes general and vascular ultrasound; excludes ABIs, segmental pressure studies, echocardiography, and breast imaging 4x10 hour day shifts, 40 hours per week Charting via Epic EMR Requirements Minimum of 1 year of ultrasound/sonography experience Associate's degree required ARDMS registry required BLS certification required (AHA only); must not expire prior to start date License required if applicable Proficiency with general and vascular ultrasound procedures Competency with immobilization techniques, image quality evaluation, sterile technique, and infection prevention protocols Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration Additional Information Performs ultrasound procedures per physician orders, including patient positioning, immobilization, and safe patient transfer Responsible for appropriate operation of all ultrasound imaging equipment and department supplies Submits required images and clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation Coordinates examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care Maintains open and responsive communication with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
