Job Description

Overview Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech in Helena, MT, starting 07/19/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay $2,406-$2,517 with guaranteed hours of 40 per week. Shift is 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.
Work setting:
hospital-based imaging services. This assignment supports inpatient and outpatient ultrasound care and uses Epic for charting.

Shift:
8x5 Days Start date: 07/19/2026 Work setting: hospital-based imaging Responsibilities Perform ultrasound examinations across multiple modalities, including vascular, abdomen, AAA, OB, and select pediatric imaging, using GE systems to acquire high-quality images. Obtain and document accurate measurements and images; ensure studies follow department protocols and quality standards. Enter findings and images into the electronic medical record (Epic) and communicate urgent or abnormal results to the interpreting radiologist or ordering clinician. Position patients, explain procedures, provide comfort and safety, and adhere to infection control and standard precautions throughout all examinations. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and allied staff in both inpatient and outpatient settings; participate in ongoing quality improvement and adherence to department policies.
Note:
The role includes OB-focused imaging and obstetric studies; ultrasound-guided procedures and breast imaging are not required for this assignment. Requirements ARDMS certification required and must be on profile at the time of submittal. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required. Minimum 2 years of ultrasound experience; OB experience required; pediatric imaging experience preferred. Proficiency with GE ultrasound equipment; ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Epic EMR experience or familiarity is preferred. Eligible to work in the United States and willing to travel to Helena, MT; first-time travelers are accepted.
