Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Step into a crucial role supporting patient care with your expertise in General Ultrasound Imaging. This contract opportunity calls for a skilled medical imaging professional to deliver high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services, ensuring clear results and patient safety at every step.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification in diagnostic medical sonography (ARDMS or equivalent) Proven clinical experience performing a range of general ultrasound procedures In-depth knowledge of anatomy, imaging protocols, and proper patient positioning Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining compassion and professionalism Strong communication skills for collaborating with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare team members Commitment to accuracy in documentation and adherence to imaging best practices
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform abdominal, pelvic, small parts, and vascular ultrasound exams as ordered by medical providers Prepare exam rooms and maintain ultrasound equipment in excellent condition, following infection control protocols Obtain high-quality diagnostic images and ensure correct labeling for accurate patient records Explain procedures to patients, addressing questions and concerns with empathy and respect Collaborate with radiologists and other clinicians to achieve optimal diagnostic outcomes Assist with patient scheduling and workflow coordination as needed Contribute to a safe, supportive, and efficient environment for patients and staff
