Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract A skilled imaging professional is needed for a contract opportunity specializing in General Ultrasound. Your expertise will play a vital role in supporting the diagnostic team as you capture high-quality ultrasound images and provide exceptional care to patients.
Qualifications:
ARDMS certification or equivalent in General Ultrasound Demonstrated experience performing a wide range of general ultrasound studies Proficiency in using modern ultrasound equipment and technology Strong understanding of anatomy, pathology, and sonographic techniques Excellent interpersonal skills for patient interaction and team communication Ability to maintain accurate and thorough documentation of findings Current BLS certification preferred
Responsibilities:
Conduct general ultrasound examinations across a diverse patient population, ensuring accuracy and excellence in diagnostic imaging Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring clinicians to interpret and convey sonographic findings Prepare patients for studies, explain procedures, and maintain patient comfort and confidence throughout exams Perform quality assurance checks on all images, confirming clarity and completeness Uphold infection control standards and ensure a clean, safe work environment Keep accurate records and assist in maintaining department documentation standards Support colleagues in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary imaging department This contract position offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced healthcare team in an advanced clinical setting.
