Paramus, NJ 07652

Week Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Responsibilities Perform echocardiograms including 2D, M-Mode, Color Flow Imaging, Doppler Studies, Stress Echo, and TEE procedures. Utilize advanced imaging techniques including Strain Imaging and 3D Echocardiography. Assist cardiologists during Stress Echocardiograms and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE). Perform vascular testing and diagnostic studies. Obtain patient histories and perform procedures as ordered. Monitor patients throughout diagnostic procedures. Communicate abnormal findings directly to cardiologists and supervisors. Acquire and store digital imaging studies for physician interpretation. Transport equipment for bedside examinations as needed. Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment. Complete billing documentation, logs, reports, and worksheets. Maintain clean and safe examination rooms and patient care environments. Follow aseptic and sterile technique guidelines. Assist in training new staff members. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental projects. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of a Certified Cardiovascular Technology Program and/or Accredited Ultrasonography Program with specialization in Cardiac Sonography. Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) required. RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) preferred. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification. Must maintain all continuing education and competency requirements. Experience performing Echocardiography and Vascular Testing required. Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and sterile procedural techniques. Must complete at least 15 hours of Echocardiography-related continuing education every three years. Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology.
