Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vascular Technologist to join our team. As a Vascular Technologist, you will be responsible for performing non-invasive vascular diagnostic procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your expertise in aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, diagnostic evaluation, sonography, medical terminology, and physiology will be essential in providing accurate and high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform non-invasive vascular diagnostic procedures such as arterial and venous studies, carotid duplex imaging, and lower extremity arterial and venous mapping
  • Utilize ultrasound equipment to obtain images of blood vessels and interpret the results
  • Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate diagnostic tests and provide accurate reports of findings
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures by explaining the process, answering questions, and addressing concerns
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in vascular technology and participate in continuing education activities
Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Diagnostic Vascular Technologist
  • In-depth knowledge of aseptic technique, anatomy, vascular hemodynamics, diagnostic evaluation, sonography, medical terminology, and physiology
  • Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and interpreting results
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical professionals
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN VENOUS INSUFFICIENCY & PROCEDURES
