This is an 8-week assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

New York, NY 10034 Pay Range (Local): $59 - $64 per hour
Schedule:
8-hour day shift (8:30 AM - 4:20 PM), 40 hrs/week Start date: 06/22/2026
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Echo Technologist/Cardiac Sonographer to perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in adult echocardiography, advanced cardiac imaging techniques, and independent diagnostic scanning. This role requires excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cardiologists and healthcare teams to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Two years of college education preferred. Minimum of 1 year of independent Cardiology/Echocardiography experience required. Experience performing adult echocardiography independently required. ARDMS or CCI certification in the appropriate cardiac specialty required. Current
ARDMS RDCS
AE or CCI RCS certification required. Current BLS certification required. Strong experience with 2D Echo, 3D Echo, Bubble Studies, Color Doppler, and contrast imaging required. Excellent communication, patient care, and organizational skills required. Ability to work rotating schedules including Monday-Saturday coverage required. Availability for rotating Saturday shifts required; no holiday coverage required.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive adult echocardiograms including 2D and 3D imaging studies. Conduct cardiac ultrasound procedures such as bubble studies, Doppler imaging, and contrast-enhanced imaging exams. Prepare patients for cardiac ultrasound procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Acquire and document high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation. Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment according to departmental standards. Review patient histories and communicate findings or concerns to physicians and clinical staff as appropriate. Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records within electronic medical systems. Follow infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance standards at all times. Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Support workflow efficiency while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care.
