Ultrasound Technologist Posted 04-May-2026 (EST) Medical Imaging 1500 North James Street, Rome, NY, USA 35.25-49.98 per hour Full Time Rome Health is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering high-quality care in an acute care setting. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team and contribute to providing top-tier diagnostic imaging services for our inpatient (IP), outpatient (OP), and emergency department (ED) patients.
Job Responsibilities:
As an Ultrasound Technologist, your duties will include: Performing a variety of ultrasound exams, including but not limited to OB/GYN, breast, abdominal, small parts, and vascular exams. Providing exceptional patient care in an acute care setting, ensuring accurate imaging results while maintaining patient comfort. Assisting with the preparation and positioning of patients for various ultrasound exams. Working closely with medical professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses. Ensuring all ultrasound equipment is maintained and calibrated according to protocol. Documenting exam details and findings in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
Must be a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program. ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) registered or eligible.
Experience:
Previous experience in an acute care setting preferred. Knowledge and proficiency in performing OB/GYN, breast, abdominal, small parts, and vascular ultrasound exams.
Certifications/Licensure:
ARDMS certification required or eligibility to sit for the ARDMS exam. Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret ultrasound images accurately. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients and team members. Ability to maintain professionalism and compassion when working with diverse patient populations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Why Join Us?
