Position Overview Medix is partnering with a prestigious clinical healthcare partner to find a skilled and compassionate travel Pediatric Lead Lead Echocardiography Technician. In this role, you will act as a travel clinician providing dedicated support to our client's facility. You will lead and mentor team members while performing high-quality, non-invasive pediatric cardiac ultrasound examinations on neonatal, pediatric, and adolescent patients. Working closely with pediatric cardiologists, you will operate state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment to evaluate congenital and acquired heart conditions in a fast-paced environment. This travel assignment offers the opportunity to practice your specialty in a brand-new, modern medical building. Job Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and support echocardiography technicians in delivering high-quality imaging services. Coordinate daily scheduling of echocardiograms, ensuring optimal workflow, balanced workload distribution, and proper coverage. Perform comprehensive pediatric echocardiograms and transmit images for review by pediatric cardiology. Integrate patient history, medical record documentation, and lab results to adapt the sonographic exam as necessary. Evaluate, synthesize, and communicate preliminary findings directly to the pediatric cardiologist, fellows, and nurse practitioners. Perform all measurements and calculations necessary for each exam per ICAEL recommendations. Maintain records for daily operations and assist in the upkeep of documentation related to ICAEL certification/re-certification. Educate patients, families, students, fellows, and new technicians in all aspects of echocardiography. Ensure a calm, comfortable, and child-friendly environment during procedures. Conform to all applicable HIPAA, billing compliance, and safety guidelines. Job Qualifications Education:
High School diploma or GED equivalent plus a Diagnostic Medical Sonography certification from an accredited program (CAAHEP), or an Associate's Degree in ultrasound/sonography technology. A Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is preferred. Certification:
Active ARDMS certification required (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred). Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an echocardiography technician, with dedicated experience in pediatric cardiac sonography. Leadership:
Previous leadership, charge, or supervisory experience is highly preferred. Skills:
