Job Description
Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Delivering high-quality diagnostic care, the Ultrasound Tech performs general and vascular ultrasound examinations, collaborating with physicians to support patient diagnosis. This contract role plays a key part in patient experience, ensuring each individual receives compassionate, effective, and knowledgeable care throughout their procedure.

Current American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification required Proficiency in general ultrasound practices and procedures Demonstrated competency in performing vascular and general imaging Understanding of imaging equipment and information systems Recent experience as an ultrasound technologist/sonographer preferred Strong commitment to infection control and maintaining sterile techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Strong organizational skills to prioritize work and handle emergency situations Dedication to ongoing professional development and assisting with training of students or colleaguesKey Responsibilities:
Perform ultrasound exams in accordance with established department protocols Ensure accurate patient identification, verification of physician orders, and patient preparation Assess image quality, clarity, and ensure accuracy before submitting for interpretation Provide clear patient education, comfort, and address patient concerns throughout the procedure Apply sound anatomical knowledge and imaging techniques to deliver quality scans Operate and maintain ultrasound and related imaging equipment Keep precise documentation and timely management reporting Support other radiology staff and students through instruction and guidance Uphold rigorous cleaning and infection control standards Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations Follow protocols for coding, charging, medical necessity, consenting, and documentation Deliver diagnostic excellence by making a positive impact on patient care.
