Job Description
Performed diagnostic sonographic imaging for patients of all ages using high-frequency ultrasound equipment. Conducted a variety of ultrasound examinations including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, retroperitoneal, pediatric, and small-parts studies. Reviewed physician orders, patient history, prior imaging, and medical records before examinations. Educated patients regarding procedures and ensured patient comfort, safety, and cooperation throughout exams. Acquired, archived, transmitted, and documented images through PACS and RIS systems. Collaborated with radiologists and referring physicians to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Assisted with scheduling routine and emergency ultrasound procedures and prioritized patient workflow. Maintained ultrasound equipment, monitored functionality, and reported technical issues as needed. Ensured accurate documentation, image quality, and compliance with departmental and hospital protocols. Assisted with training ultrasound students, new staff, and departmental educational initiatives. Performed vascular imaging studies and supported interventional procedures when required.
