Job Description

Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Ultrasound Sonographer with expertise in general imaging. This role focuses on delivering precise diagnostic ultrasound exams in a hospital environment, supporting both patients and clinical teams through collaborative care. The position is structured as a 13-week assignment, ideal for professionals comfortable with weekend night shifts and seeking dynamic healthcare experience.
Schedule:
3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts Weekend nights
Qualifications:
Active BLS certification required ARDMS credential in good standing Minimum of two years of professional experience in ultrasound/general sonography Strong knowledge of ultrasound safety standards and best practices Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent communication skills and patient-service orientation
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality, general ultrasound procedures as ordered by the medical team Prepare and position patients, explaining the exam process to ensure comfort and compliance Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, following all safety protocols Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures within the electronic health record system Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and nursing staff to achieve optimal patient outcomes Adhere to all hospital policies, infection control, and HIPAA guidelines
