Job Description

Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role where your expertise in general ultrasound imaging plays a key part in patient diagnosis and care. As an Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer, you will perform detailed ultrasound examinations under physician direction, ensuring accurate identification of abnormalities and exceptional patient service.
Key Qualifications:
Active certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Proficiency in abdominal, vascular, and general ultrasound imaging techniques Demonstrated competency in both clinical and technical aspects of sonography Strong prioritization, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team Commitment to upholding infection control and sterile technique standards
Schedule:
Contract position with variable hours
Primary Responsibilities:
Verify patient identity, validate exam orders, and thoroughly prepare patients for procedures Perform ultrasound exams in accordance with departmental protocols, ensuring quality, clarity, and accuracy of images Complete studies efficiently while prioritizing patient safety and comfort Document patient information, exam details, and any adverse reactions accurately Provide clear patient education and address concerns professionally Guide and instruct students and other radiology staff in exam protocols, positioning, and imaging equipment use Maintain equipment, perform quality checks, and report equipment malfunctions Ensure adherence to proper documentation, charging, coding, and consent protocols Perform vascular imaging procedures as needed Maintain high standards of exam room cleanliness and patient safety Respond promptly to emergency situations in accordance with established protocols Within this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact through your imaging expertise and patient-focused care.
