We are seeking a highly skilled Sonographer (Ultrasound Tech) to join our team at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center! Position Summary:
Performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, which require independent judgment and initiative. The procedures include but are not limited to: Abdominal OB/GYN Small Parts Arterial and Venus Vascular exams Interventional guidance procedures Call is required
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Able to work independently providing optimal images for diagnosis Assist in patient transport Able to assist in providing copies of images for patient care Able to proficiently provide pertinent patient/procedure information and send images for offsite review Become proficient in the use of Cerner for patient/reporting information entry and review. Assist physicians/radiologists with interventional exams.
Requirements:
Registered by the ARDMS or equivalent; other registries a plus/benefit. Must obtain registry from ARDMS or equivalent with Vascular certification within two years of employment and maintain this registry/certification annually. Additional registry in any of the following: OB, GYN, Vascular, Abdominal/general, cardiac a plus/benefit. BLS required within six months of employment. Previous ultrasound experience required. Must successfully complete the pre-employment assessment. Typing and basic computer skills required.
