Regular, Full-Time position at the McAlester Radiology Clinic. This position would strictly be tasked with completing all Ultrasound and Sonography needs for the clinic |
Schedule:
Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm |Starting Pay:
Hourly, Between $30- 35 per hour (potential for more, dependent upon experience) Weekly earned wage access is an option for this position Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Advanced Modality Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures in a minimum of one advanced modality on adult and pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders.
Primary Tasks:
Perform high quality advanced modality procedures; maintain production and quality of imaging procedures following established standards and procedures. Identify patient service requirements and their ability to tolerate exam, ensure correct exam is performed on the correct patient, and establish rapport with patients and family members. Prepare patient and area for procedure by positioning patient, adjusting immobilization devices, moving equipment into specified position, and adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. Protect patients and staff by adhering to safety requirements, infection control, drug and radiation policies, protocols, and techniques; use proper sterile techniques when setting up and performing invasive multimodality procedures. Maintain equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards; work with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal operational capabilities of equipment and report issues to management. Ensure individuals are safe to enter the department by completing screening processes following approved policies and procedures. Obtain, verify, and maintain all relevant documentation including requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status and shielding precautions taken, consent form, policies, and procedures. Maintain medical imaging records in various systems following department policies and standards. Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.Required Education and experience:
