This is a 13-week contract with a possible extension.
Job Description:
Perform advanced diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound procedures to provide accurate imaging and measurements for physician interpretation and diagnosis Conduct adult and/or pediatric echocardiograms, including TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography) and stress echo studies Perform peripheral vascular studies, including arterial, renal, venous, and transcranial Doppler examinations Review patient history, medical records, and diagnostic reports prior to procedures Operate ultrasound equipment and ancillary devices to obtain high-quality diagnostic images Assist physicians during advanced cardiovascular procedures in the OR, Hybrid Lab, Cath Lab, and Cardiac Access Department (CAD) Support complex structural heart and cardiovascular procedures including TAVR, SAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip, ECMO, Impella, Tandem Heart, and Lariat procedures Maintain accurate documentation, patient records, and charge capture within Epic EMR Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital compliance standards
Required:
Minimum 2 years of Cardiac and/or Vascular Sonography experience required High School Diploma or GED required RDCS or RVT through
ARDMS OR
RCS or RVS through CCI required BLS certification required Experience using Epic EMR required Experience with TEE, TAVR, Watchman, Mitral Clip, ECMO, and Impella procedures required Ability to work independently and utilize strong critical thinking skills Excellent communication skills with physicians, surgeons, and healthcare teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiac Ultrasound program Experience with pediatric and adult cardiac imaging preferred
