1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and breast imaging experience for a 13-week acute care assignment using Cerner EMR. Details Acute care hospital ultrasound department Performs cardiac and/or vascular non-invasive imaging procedures depending on certification Cardiac procedures include echocardiograms, TEEs, TTEs, stress echo, and structural heart program imaging Vascular procedures include upper/lower venous duplexes, arterial duplexes, dialysis grafts, venous insufficiency studies, pulse volume recordings, and ankle-brachial index Charting performed in Cerner (documentation also references Epic for billing) Rotating 8-hour shifts covering days, afternoons, weekends, holidays, and call 13-week contract Requirements Minimum 2 years of sonography experience Breast imaging experience required One of the following certifications required: RDCS (AE), RCS, RCCS, RVT, or RVS BLS (AHA) required License required if applicable Driver's license copy required for consideration Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration 2 professional references required for consideration (1 supervisor, 1 peer or additional supervisor) Additional Information Performs all non-invasive imaging procedures within established guidelines and notifies appropriate medical staff of findings that deviate from normal Responsible for accurate procedure documentation, proper billing, and patient scheduling coordination Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of equipment, procedure rooms, and work areas Gray scrubs required Candidates must live more than 50 miles from this facility to be eligible Travelers who have previously worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before returning; cumulative time at WVU Medicine locations cannot exceed one year before a 2-year break is required Any background hits must be disclosed at the time of consideration Skills checklist completed within the past year is required for consideration
