  • Missoula, MT Full-time | Contract Are you a Ultrasound Technician looking for a flexible and fulfilling career?
Big Sky Mobile Imaging is hiring a motivated and compassionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our mobile imaging team in Missoula, MT . We are Montana's only provider of portable Ultrasound services, delivering essential care to patients in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, private homes, jails, and clinics.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine sonographic exams in mobile settings as well as at our office Travel to patient locations within the Missoula area and surrounding regions Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients Use and maintain mobile imaging equipment Document procedures and upload images using company software Occasionally assist in other service areas as needed Job description Applicants experienced in ob/gyn and abdomen/small parts is required. Vascular and Echo ultrasound experience is preferred but not required. Responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:
  • Explains the ultrasound procedure to patients and answer any questions they may have.
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and sterilize the room in which the procedure takes place.
  • Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team.
  • Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
  • Expert knowledge of anatomy and physiology, imaging principles and practices, as well as the ability to obtain high-quality images
  • Computer skills and knowledge of keyboard functionality
  • Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification (New graduates must be board eligible and obtain permanent certification within 6 months of hire)
  • Exam review.
File work.

Restocking supplies/cleaning. Quality Assurance functions. Other duties as assigned. This job contains the potential for travel opportunities to provide portable ultrasound to outside facilities. Please inquire for more information about travel.
