Full Job Description Summary:
Works with the Operations Manager of Radiology, radiologists and other personnel to supervise and perform technical procedures in the Ultrasound Department. Oversee the day-to-day activity for routine, portable, urgent, and invasive ultrasound procedures.
Education:
Completion of an Ultrasound Training Program.
Licensure:
Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or ARRT. Must ARDMS board eligible.
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist. Preferred experience in a supervisory/leadership position or demonstrated leadership skills required.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to conduct themselves courteously, efficiently, and ethically with all hospital personnel. Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel. Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or
Safety Requirements :
Moderate amount of lifting and positioning of patients and equipment. Position requires ability to position patients, perform difficult manipulator skills and hand-eye coordination skills, walk and stand for prolonged periods, see objects closely, and hear normal sounds with some background noise. Position requires ability to concentrate on fine detail and attend to task for 20 to 45 minutes at a time. Able to communicate in writing, using advanced writing skills.
