Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, ensuring patient comfort, and providing accurate diagnostic images for physicians. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients as per physician orders, ensuring adherence to established protocols. Utilize advanced sonography equipment to capture high-resolution images for diagnostic purposes. Maintain a thorough understanding of medical imaging techniques and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss findings and assist in developing patient care plans. Provide clear explanations to patients regarding procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the process. Document all relevant patient information accurately in electronic medical records (EMR). Stay current with advancements in diagnostic radiology and sonography practices through continuous education and training. Requirements Proficient knowledge of medical terminology related to ultrasound and imaging procedures. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as it relates to Ob/Gyn sonography. Experience in patient care with a focus on providing compassionate support during procedures. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a clinical setting. Ability to operate ultrasound equipment effectively while troubleshooting minor technical issues. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and collaborating with healthcare teams. Certification or licensure in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS or equivalent) is preferred.
