  • 12:00 AM Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital-based setting.
The ideal candidate will be skilled in performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures and delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using high-frequency sound wave technology. Prepare patients for procedures and explain examinations to ensure comfort and cooperation. Select appropriate transducers and imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient needs. Review patient history and clinical information to assist with accurate diagnosis. Position patients appropriately to obtain optimal diagnostic images. Evaluate ultrasound images for technical quality and accuracy. Maintain proper documentation and image labeling for patient records. Assist physicians with specialized ultrasound procedures and needle biopsies. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout procedures. Maintain ultrasound equipment and coordinate service or repair requests as needed. Follow infection control, safety, and departmental policies and procedures. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technology program. ARDMS credential required. Registered in Abdomen and OB/GYN through ARDMS. Current BLS certification required. Strong communication and patient care skills. Ability to work rotating shifts and weekends in a hospital environment. Preferred Skills Experience in acute care or hospital-based ultrasound settings. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong technical and clinical assessment skills.
