Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled General/Abdominal Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will perform high-quality ultrasound imaging procedures focused on abdominal and general diagnostic scans, providing critical insights to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive ultrasound examinations of the abdomen, pelvis, and other body regions, ensuring clear and precise imaging Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and addressing any concerns with professional communication skills Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and quality standards Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret imaging results and provide detailed reports for diagnosis Utilize advanced sonography equipment, ensuring optimal image quality through proper calibration and technique Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient information, and imaging data in compliance with hospital policies Stay updated on the latest developments in medical imaging technology and techniques to continuously improve service quality Requirements Proven experience in performing abdominal and general ultrasound scans with proficiency in sonography practices Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound imaging Familiarity with maternal-fetal medicine and Ob/Gyn ultrasound procedures is highly desirable Demonstrated understanding of diagnostic radiology principles and medical imaging standards Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and team members Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures Ability to interpret ultrasound images accurately and provide detailed reports for clinical use Certification as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent credential preferred Join our team where your expertise makes a real difference!
