Job Overview We are seeking a General Sonographer for a full-time permanent position in Columbia, South Carolina . This role provides mobile ultrasound services across a variety of healthcare settings, offering the opportunity to work independently while delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging to patients.

July 6, 2026 Requirements Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Current ARDMS or CCI certification required. Must hold General and Vascular ultrasound credentials (
ARDMS:
RVT & AB, CCI
RVS, or ARRT:
R.T. (VS)); dual modality certification is preferred. Valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Experience performing general and vascular ultrasound examinations using portable equipment. Strong organizational, communication, and independent decision-making skills. Basic computer and smartphone proficiency. Ability to meet physical requirements, including transporting portable ultrasound equipment.
COVID-19
vaccination or approved exemption required. Responsibilities Perform high-quality mobile ultrasound examinations in nursing homes, home care settings, correctional facilities, and other healthcare locations. Operate portable ultrasound equipment and obtain diagnostically accurate images for radiologist interpretation. Verify physician orders and confirm patient identity using approved identification procedures. Upload imaging studies and complete all required documentation accurately and promptly. Coordinate daily assignments through the dispatch system and respond to urgent communications in a timely manner. Maintain ultrasound equipment and company vehicle in proper working condition. Follow infection control, patient safety, and professional practice standards at all times. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, dispatch staff, and other team members. Participate in required meetings, training, and ongoing professional development. Work independently while maintaining a high standard of patient care and professionalism.
