1 Description American Traveler is hiring a travel Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with RDMS (ABD, OB/GYN) and RVT credentials for a night shift position in an acute care hospital ultrasound department in Smyrna, TN. Details Located in the main hospital ultrasound department of an acute care facility in Smyrna, TN Procedures include OB/GYN studies, vascular studies, abdominal studies, pediatric studies, and possible thoracentesis/paracentesis Uses three GE Logiq E9 XD Clear ultrasound machines and Trophon probe high-level disinfection systems Documentation via Meditech (EMR) and FUJI Synapse (PACS) Schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM (10.5-hour night shifts) No on-call or floating requirements Requirements Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience, with active experience within the last 6 months RDMS certification in Abdominal (ABD) and OB/GYN required; RVT required Current BLS (AHA or ARC accepted); certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment License required if applicable SSN and DOB required for consideration; Canadian SSNs are not accepted Professional reference required (2 references required if currently licensed in Florida or Missouri) No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible The department has 24/7 coverage with a very experienced, collaborative team known for a family-like atmosphere The department was recognized with a 2020 Clinical Site Excellence Award through affiliation with Volunteer State Community College's ultrasound program Growing hospital with expanding OB, ED, and surgical services volume Strong department culture with excellent policies and practices around high-level disinfection Caribbean Blue scrubs required
