Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced ultrasound imaging technology to assist in diagnosing and monitoring various medical conditions, with a special focus on maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn). Your expertise will directly contribute to patient care by providing high-quality imaging services, ensuring accurate diagnoses, and supporting clinical decision-making. Duties Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations with precision, including obstetric, gynecologic, abdominal, and vascular imaging procedures. Collaborate closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and facilitate effective patient management. Ensure all ultrasound procedures adhere to strict aseptic techniques to maintain patient safety and prevent infections. Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, documenting imaging procedures, findings, and any relevant observations. Educate patients about the ultrasound process, addressing questions with clear communication and reassurance. Operate and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance and image quality. Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology, particularly in maternal-fetal medicine, physiology knowledge, and diagnostic radiology practices. Skills Extensive knowledge of anatomy relevant to obstetrics, gynecology, and general medical imaging. Proficiency in sonography techniques and the operation of ultrasound equipment. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to diagnostic radiology and patient care. Ability to apply aseptic techniques diligently during all procedures to ensure patient safety. Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures clearly and empathetically to patients. Familiarity with physiology principles that underpin accurate image interpretation in obstetric and gynecologic contexts. Experience working within multidisciplinary teams focused on maternal-fetal medicine or Ob/Gyn specialties is highly desirable. Pay:
$27.68 - $49.98 per hour
