Full-Time Position Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist, under the general supervision of a Radiologist or physician, performs ultrasound procedures in both ambulatory and hospital environments. This role assists in the diagnosis of disease and injury following established protocols.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Experience:

Less than 1 year of experience acceptable Certification / License /

Registration:

Basic Life Support (BLS) Must have or obtain within 30 days of hire/transfer Must be RDMS-OB certified Registration with one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS): OB/GYN, Abdomen, Breast, Musculoskeletal, or Vascular American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or Breast Sonography (BS) Cardio Credentialing International (CCI) for Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS)

Other Requirements:

All certifications must be through AHA Nicotine-free facility

Key Responsibilities:

Perform ultrasound procedures for OB/GYN patients according to physician requests Document procedures accurately and maintain compliance with facility and regulatory standards Assist in diagnostic evaluations for disease and injury Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
