The ideal candidate is highly motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and has a strong ability to multitask. As a Sonographer, you will perform all functions necessary to produce high-quality echocardiograms, stress echoes, and vascular studies. Essential Functions of the
Role:
Able to provide direct patient care to patients in both the stable and acute care settings. Works with general supervision, structuring own work patterns within a general outline. Responsible for reporting interpretations to physicians when completed. Referring unusual situations or problems to the physician/supervisor Ability to accurately calculate in apothecary and metric systems for drug administration and document clinical information.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D Current ARDMS, CCI, or registry eligible and pass the registry within one year of the date of hire Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program A valid driver's license
ACLS Certification Desired Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in the Cardiology field One (1) year of experience preferred as an ultrasound technologist. Cardiology experience preferred Ability to prioritize and multitask Deadline and detail-oriented Work Environment 8-hour Day shift Monday to Friday Physical Requirements This position requires a full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
