  • American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers Upon Hire (required) 2 years related experience (required) OB/GYN experience (strongly preferred) Be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within field.
Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism. Specific to
OB/GYN:
Must have experience doing gynecological and obstetrical sonograms to include the following: Normal and abnormal pelvic anatomy Fetal anatomy and biophysical profile Fetal anomalies, including ectopic pregnancies Appropriate measurement techniques in transabdominal and endovaginal scanning Ability to identify what is expected to be seen in all three trimesters of pregnancy Must be comfortable verbally explaining all techniques and views to physician and patient What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Ultrasonographer Process Performing diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate and record critical functional, pathological and anatomical data. Prepares room for examination, greets patients, and educates patients on procedural information as needed. May schedule and coordinate tests. Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality, and troubleshoots as needed. Properly records test results. Operates, cares for, and maintains equipment. Prepares and maintains operational logs and documents malfunction as needed. Maintains equipment and room to sanitary standards. Stocks and orders supplies as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
