Job Summary To make radiologic images to use in special medical and radiological equipment to radiographically visualize organs not examined by conventional means. Describe the physical efforts, manual dexterity and cognitive skills required for the job (i.e., eye/hand coordination, lifting, pulling, walking, concentration, analysis, customer sensitivity, etc.). On feet most of day. Lifting and positioning of patients. Moving of heavy mobile equipment.

Demonstrates the required job specific technical/professional knowledge, skills and abilities. • 1. Perform exams according to
AIUM / ARDMS
standards and as per Montefiore Nyack Hospital protocols; maintain competencies as required for position. 2. Maintain a neat, well organized work area; prepare room prior to patient (ie., test equipment, stock room with needed supplies). Keep room and work area neat and clean. 3. Process images to be interpreted by the radiologist. 4. Maintain communication with coworkers to facilitate work flow and patient safety. 5. Must possess the ability to work in a high stress area and maintain a positive interaction for the patient. 6. Close communication with the Radiologists and referring physicians is required for this position. 7. Ability to follow all Hospital policies. 8. Ability to critique images and complete work with
RIS / PACS
with no errors. Document on addendum age specific competency.

Qualifications Associate Degree One year general Ultrasound experience Preferred ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within 180 Days Required BLS - American Heart Association within 90 Days Montefiore Nyack Hospital is an equal employment opportunity employer.
