Job Description

Where You'll Work St. Luke's Health - Patients Medical Center provides inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to residents of Pasadena, Deer Park, La Porte, Baytown, and Clear Lake. The facility includes 53 medical/surgical beds, eight ICU beds and three endoscopy rooms, and offers a range of primary and specialized services—wound care, general surgery, gastroenterology, occupational health, heart and vascular, women's services, diagnostic imaging, outpatient rehab services, and sleep disorders. Job Summary and Responsibilities Performs ultrasound exams on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director; Provides patient orientation, procedure explanation, and pre and post diagnostic care to completion of test. Performs complete diagnostic imaging test inclusive of positioning patient, equipment management, and documentation of findings. 1. Performs ultrasound exams on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols under the direction of the Medical Director 2. Prepares equipment ensuring that it is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards 3. Problem-solves equipment failure and imaging quality and contacts service representative or CES regarding equipment problems 4. Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance are performed before/during/ after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards 5. Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained Job Requirements Education & Experience
  • Associate's Degree preferred
  • Active certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or ARRT;
  • CPR/BLS certification
