QUALIFICATIONS
Must have current ARDMS certification and current CPR certification.
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Manage ultrasound equipment for the studies of ultrasound examinations. Evaluate studies for technical quality and properly fill out worksheet. Assumes care for the physical and physiological well-being of patients.
SUPERVISES
No one.
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL CONTACTS
General public, representatives of other health care facilities, physicians, and other in-house departmental personnel, patients, and patient families.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Duties of the position require extended periods of sitting with computer work, may occasionally involve lifting, bending, stooping squatting, twisting, and handling of equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Pleasant office environment. Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, high noise levels and hazardous materials and fumes.
