Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced ultrasound imaging technology to assist in diagnosing and monitoring a variety of medical conditions. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations with precision, including obstetric, gynecologic, abdominal, and vascular imaging procedures. Collaborate closely with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret imaging results and ensure accurate diagnoses. Maintain detailed records of procedures, ensuring all images are properly labeled and stored according to protocol. Educate patients about the ultrasound process, addressing any questions or concerns with clear communication and reassurance. Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control standards to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Keep up-to-date with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques through ongoing training and professional development. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and proper functioning of ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance. Requirements Proven experience or training in sonography, with a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn) imaging procedures is highly desirable. Familiarity with diagnostic radiology principles, medical imaging techniques, and patient care best practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and team members. Ability to demonstrate aseptic technique consistently during all procedures to prevent infection risks. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge relevant to ultrasound imaging across various body systems. Certification or licensure as an Ultrasound Technician or Sonographer is required; additional credentials in maternal-fetal medicine are a plus.
