Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Registered Vascular Sonographer to join our healthcare team in Northern VA. In this vital role, you will utilize advanced sonography techniques to perform diagnostic vascular imaging and assist with minimally invasive ultrasound-guided vein procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading provider of vascular services and compassionate patient care. Responsibilities Perform high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations, including Doppler studies, reflux studies, and fistula evaluations. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort while maintaining strict aseptic technique. Analyze imaging results in real-time, providing preliminary findings to physicians for prompt diagnosis. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all procedures, including patient history, imaging results, and technical notes. Collaborate with procedural specialists to support interventional procedures such as venous ablations. Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment within the cath lab or vascular suite. Requirements Certification as a Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from an accredited organization. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to vascular sonography. Ability to interpret diagnostic images accurately and communicate findings effectively to multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control standards necessary for working in cath labs or vein clinics. Prior experience working in vein procedures or a vascular lab strongly preferred, but would consider training a highly motivated person. Must be willing to travel to locations across the Northern VA region.
