Overview Join our boutique ultrasound team as a PRN Sonographer specializing in obstetrics, gynecology, and general imaging. This flexible role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care through advanced diagnostic imaging techniques in a supportive environment. You will perform high-quality ultrasound examinations, assist with complex maternal-fetal assessments, and support physicians with accurate imaging data. Your expertise will help ensure precise diagnoses and optimal patient outcomes while maintaining a compassionate approach. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations, including fetal assessments, anatomy scans, and gynecologic evaluations. Utilize advanced sonography techniques to produce clear, diagnostic-quality images for physician review. Apply thorough knowledge of maternal-fetal medicine and physiology to identify normal and abnormal findings during scans. Maintain strict aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and prevent infections during procedures. Operate medical imaging equipment with precision, ensuring accurate positioning and optimal image quality. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and provide compassionate care throughout the process. Skills Strong understanding of maternal-fetal medicine principles and obstetric/gynecologic anatomy. Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to obstetrics, gynecology, radiology, and sonography. Knowledge of physiology related to pregnancy, reproductive health, and general anatomy. Skilled in aseptic technique to uphold infection control standards during all procedures. Experience with medical imaging modalities such as ultrasound, diagnostic radiology, and sonography equipment operation. Ability to interpret sonographic images accurately for diagnostic purposes. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare teams and educate patients about procedures and findings.
