Ascension, a leading faith-based healthcare organization, is seeking a dedicated Sonography Technologist to enhance our diagnostic imaging team. Tasked with providing high-quality ultrasonographic images to aid in patient diagnosis and management, this role is pivotal in embodying our mission to innovate healthcare and deliver compassionate, personalized care. Based in a dynamic clinical environment, the Sonography Technologist will leverage state-of-the-art technology to support patient health outcomes across our network of facilities. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to complete high-quality diagnostic procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess and interpret ultrasound results and provide accurate documentation. Implement safety protocols to minimize exposure to sonic frequencies and other risks. Assist radiologists and other medical professionals during complex diagnostic tests and procedures. Educate patients on ultrasound procedures, answering questions and easing anxieties about the process. Participate in continuous professional education to remain current with industry techniques and technological advancements. Proficient in the use of sonographic equipment and able to perform a variety of exams (abdominal, pelvic, small parts, etc.). Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology. Excellent patient care and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure clinical environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or equivalent.
