1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist with 1+ year of experience for a 13-week travel contract in Beckley, WV, requiring RDCS or RCS certification and the ability to perform pediatric echos, TEE, and carotid studies independently. Details Located in a 300-bed acute care hospital on the 1st floor Cardiovascular Ultrasound unit Serves patients of all ages, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations Echo Tech role performing echocardiography and related cardiovascular ultrasound studies Equipment includes Canon Ultrasound and Philips systems EMR/imaging systems include Meditech, Fuji PACS, and Synapse 4x10-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM 36 hours per week with call requirements of approximately 10 days per month, including evenings and weekends Every other weekend on-call, with 8-12 hour weekend call shifts Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience as an Echo Technologist RDCS or RCS certification required AHA BLS required Must be able to perform pediatric echos, TEE, and carotid studies Must be able to work independently State licensure/certification required if applicable to practice as an Echo Tech in WV SSN and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information All required certifications must be obtained prior to the start of the assignment Orientation is held weekly on Mondays Scrub colors are Royal Blue or Red; t-shirts and hoodies are not permitted Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible First-time travelers will be considered provided all requirements are met
