Job Description

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a part-time MFM Sonographer to work with our Maternal Fetal Medicine Department. MFM Sonographers are responsible for ensuring and providing quality services in all US tests & procedures performed at the main Perinatal center, 3North and PNC-MU locations of Cabell Huntington Hospital.
Primary responsibilities include:
Receiving, clarifying and/or confirming orders Accurate and timely documentation of procedures/tests Competent understanding and operation of all US equipment Understanding and performance of Disinfection and quality control procedures. Mentoring students and fostering an atmosphere of learning Participating in collection and reporting of data used in performance and process improvement activities High School diploma or equivalent required. Junior College/Technical School required, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Registered sonographer (ARDMS) required. OB registry required. NT/NB certification preferred. Maternal fetal medicine experience preferred. The kind of position-related experience includes: Good working knowledge of anatomy, pathology, medical terminology and application software. Ability to skillfully operate US scanner and related patient support equipment is required. Adherence to established procedure protocols. Working knowledge of all US examinations, exam preps and other information pertinent to placing orders and verifying appropriateness.
