Job Description
Introduction Our client is a small animal hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their established team in Benton, Arkansas. The practice provides comprehensive care for companion animals, primarily dogs and cats, and is known for delivering compassionate, community-focused medicine. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian who is looking to remain clinically engaged while maintaining balance and flexibility within a supportive team environment. Working Hours / Rota The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 6:30pm and Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm. The clinic is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full or part-time position with predictable hours and a consistent home hospital assignment, offering flexibility to align with the veterinarian's availability and personal goals. Role Description and Responsibilities The role involves performing comprehensive patient examinations and medical work-ups, conducting diagnostic procedures and surgery, maintaining accurate medical records, and prescribing medications in accordance with controlled substance protocols. The veterinarian will educate clients, promote teamwork and staff efficiency, monitor cases, participate in daily rounds when possible, and collaborate with hospital leadership on workflow and protocol oversight. The position is suited to a veterinarian with at least one year of experience who is confident in diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills and committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care. Practice Details This full-service pet hospital offers preventative care, routine exams, dental care, spaying and neutering, geriatric care, puppy and kitten care, emergency care, and comprehensive diagnostic services. The clinic is equipped with digital radiography, in-house laboratory capabilities including bloodwork, urinalysis, and fecal exams, and an in-house pharmacy. Advanced diagnostic testing is supported through an in-house veterinary diagnostics laboratory, allowing for efficient diagnosis and treatment planning. The practice is well-established within the community and supported by a collaborative structure that combines local leadership with broader professional resources. Team The hospital team includes three DVMs supported by experienced certified technicians and support staff. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with over 65 years of combined DVM experience and more than 25 years of experience across the certified technician team, fostering a stable and knowledgeable clinical setting.
