Qualifications/Requirements:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree AZ Veterinary License in good standing or eligibility for licensure with the applicable state veterinary board.

Duties Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose health issues in small animals, including dogs and cats. Perform medical procedures such as vaccinations, surgeries, and dental care with precision and compassion. Utilize veterinary terminology accurately to communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and client instructions clearly. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques, ensuring comfort and minimizing stress during examinations and procedures. Administer treatments involving animal physiology and anatomy knowledge, including injections, catheterizations, and laboratory sample collection. Maintain aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to prevent infections and ensure patient safety. Educate pet owners on animal husbandry, pet grooming, nutrition, and general pet care best practices. Assist with laboratory testing and interpret results to inform clinical decisions. Manage emergency cases with veterinary critical care experience, providing rapid response to stabilize animals in urgent need. Support animal handling tasks across various settings, including clinics, labs, or during transport. Skills Proven veterinary experience with a strong foundation in small animal medicine and surgery. Expertise in animal restraint, handling dogs and cats confidently and humanely. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and clinical procedures. Experience with laboratory techniques relevant to diagnostic testing. Skilled in pet grooming, animal husbandry, and basic pet care routines. Familiarity with aseptic techniques essential for surgical procedures. Ability to perform animal catheterization accurately under sterile conditions. Strong communication skills for explaining complex medical information clearly to pet owners.

From $120,000.00 per year
