  • Part-time, Full-time, Contract About us Urgent Petcare is a privately-owned, walk-in veterinary hospital in Surprise, AZ.
We are professional, innovative, and our goal is to provide excellent veterinary care to pets when they need it most. We are seeking an associate veterinarian interested in joining our team. Compensation is pro-sal based and experienced veterinarians are expected to achieve production goals, and likely exceed them. The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $250,000, based on experience. The schedule includes every other Saturday and Sunday, with Monday and Tuesday as regular workdays. While ER training is not required, it is considered a plus, and surgical experience is preferred. We offer healthcare, generous PTO, and 401k.

  • our medical team comes from an emergency setting and is excellent at providing the DVM staff with all aspects of care from triage, outpatient, inpatient, anesthesia and surgical care of patients. Completely digital and modern medical technology
  • We utilize cloud-based Instinct electronic medical records, stationary and mobile PCs.
All radiographs are interpreted by a radiologist as our standard of care. Idexx CBC/Chemistry with the ability for in-house cortisol results. Oxygen kennels for small patients and the ability to provide supplemental oxygen for larges cases as well. Commonly treated conditions include wound care, respiratory cases, emergency surgical case (lacerations, pyometra, foreign bodies, etc.), toxicities, urethral obstructions, rattlesnake envenomations, anaphylaxis, ear infections and many more. Our urgent care facility utilizes a board-certified radiologist for on-site emergency and scheduled imaging. We work with a board-certified surgeon to offer advanced surgical procedures. Urgent Petcare is seeking an urgent care veterinarian to provide care to patients at our Surprise hospital. Our hospital is strongly focused on thorough, and high-standard medical and surgical care of our patients. We pride ourselves on our walk-in availability, diversity and extensive treatment we can provide to patients in the West Valley. We are looking for a veterinarian with a strong interest in medicine and surgery. Coming from an emergency background or internship-trained is strongly recommended, but not required.
Responsibilities:
Be comfortable diagnosing and treating common veterinary medical illnesses including, but not limited to wounds, stabilizing critical patients, heart disease, anaphylaxis diabetes, trauma, foreign body obstructions, emergent respiratory conditions, rattle snake envenomations, heat stroke and numerous other emergency/urgent care conditions. Ability to efficiently interpret labwork and radiographs Be comfortable working with diverse staff and clientele. Utilize exceptional communication skills to provide gold-standard care to our patients and a superb experience for our clientele. Enjoys extensive diagnostic investigation and complex medical cases Strong surgical skills
