Job Summary Direct and supervise professional DVM students who work up, diagnose and treat, prepare for and perform various surgical procedures, anesthetize, operate, recover, and monitor postoperative progress and analgesic needs of cats and dogs.
Provides instruction in the form of rounds to the students and evaluates students. Oversee treatment and maintenance of the Gourley colony animals (dogs and cats). Apply By Date July 13, 2026 at 11:59pm

- For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position Must possess a full Veterinary License from the state of California or a University Veterinary License.
D.V.M. or equivalent degree.
Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as a veterinarian.
Experience performing animal surgery.
Experience to provide oversight of professional DVM students and animal health technicians in all aspects of small animal surgery.
Experience to provide constructive feedback to technicians and students regarding compliance with policies and procedures and the importance of documentation and record keeping.
Current knowledge of veterinary medicine as it applies to the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact in a constructive manner with a variety of faculty, staff and students, as well as people from the community. Preferred Qualifications Experience to provide high quality service to all constituents. Key Responsibilities 95%
