Full time veterinarian

As a member of our highly skilled Veterinary clinic team, the DVM is responsible for performing physical exams, general surgeries , drawing blood for heartworm and FIV/FeLV tests, administering vaccines and injections for treatment , prescribing medications, heartworm prevention, flea prevention and deworming. Great client communication skills, a positive attitude, and a desire to improve the lives of pets are a must.

Summary of essential functions:

Provide high-quality preventative care to veterinary clinic patients. Speak to patrons regarding the importance of spay and neuter, microchipping, vaccinations, heartworm and flea preventative, basic pet care, positive behavior modification, etc. Recognize the impact of providing best veterinary care in our community . Work, communicate and interact professionally with all staff members and clients as part of a fast-paced and highly-efficient clinic team. Demonstrate low-stress animal handling skills. Communicate and follow safety and hazard procedures. Work collaboratively with management, medical, animal care, customer service and volunteer staff. We open the doors and allow people to start checking in 30 minutes before scheduled start time and see all patients checked in by scheduled ending time each day.
