JOB SUMMARY
Riverpark Pet Hospital ( www.riverparkvet.com ) is a modern, full service veterinary hospital in North Fresno area and is proudly serving Fresno, Clovis, Madera and surrounding communities. WHAT TO EXPECT

DUTIES Conduct thorough physical examinations of small animals, including dogs and cats, utilizing aseptic techniques and laboratory experience to diagnose health issues. Perform medical procedures such as animal catheterization, wound management, and administering vaccinations with precision and care. Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring proper animal restraint, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care. Educate pet owners on animal care best practices, including nutrition, behavior, pet grooming, and preventive health measures. Maintain detailed medical records using veterinary terminology to document diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up plans. Handle animal restraint safely and effectively during examinations or procedures to ensure safety for both pets and staff. Support laboratory testing processes and interpret results to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Collaborate with team members on complex cases involving critical care or specialized treatments for small animals.
EXPERIENCE 2
years veterinary experience with a focus on small animals is preferred Fresh Graduates are also welcome ! Strong animal handling skills, including dog and cat handling. Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology to accurately assess health conditions. Experience with aseptic techniques during surgical or diagnostic procedures. Familiarity with veterinary terminology and laboratory procedures relevant to small animal medicine. Experience in preventative care/basic spay/neuter/dentistry. Excellent customer service skills.
