Southpaw Vets is privately owned GP clinic that opened in August 2022 in Sherman Oaks (Los Angeles - SFV). It's owned 100% by Drs. Lena Braham and Connie Chiang. We've worked as associates in private and corporately owned clinics… we have been in your shoes and hopefully we have created a clinic that is headed in the right direction of being a melting pot of all the good things in our field. 1) Vetspire cloud based software 2) Primarily Antech, but we also use Idexx 3) In house Abaxis 4) Digital rads + every study gets sent for rad review 5) Ultrasound 6) Laser Therapy 7) Cryo 8) Dental Rads + RVT Dental Techs Digital wifi anesthesia monitors w etCO2, bp, etc 9) Bovie electrocautery, Dowling spay retractors (because, mature female spays are no fun), Vetpro Adroit heating blankets, heated water blankets, IV fluid heater 10) 7 Exam Rooms (including a comfort room) 11) Fear Free

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time on-site role for a Veterinarian at Southpaw Vets. 1) 4 ten hour shifts, including Saturdays. 2) One of the weekday shifts can be a dedicated surgery day. Or if you prefer just to see appointments, thats fine too! 3) Robust team support where each vet gets two dedicated techs/assistants and a doctors assistant (they do estimates, Rx, callbacks, fill meds, etc). 4) We also have kennel assistants that help turn over rooms and keep the clinic clean. This allows drs to doctor and techs to tech.

1) Doggy daycare for well-behaved employee pets 2) Parking spot 3) Own desk w/ a Branch chair 4) Figs jacket + 4 Figs scrubs per year 5) The doctor's office has it's own bathroom. With a heated toilet seat. OTHER 1) We believe in supporting our entire staff and do not tolerate bad behavior from clients. 2) We are open to new ideas, new meds, new equipment, etc! 3) We pay for an IT company to be available via text or phone at all times during business hours - so if a computer or printer goes down, it can be fixed asap. 4) Associates are not responsible for relief lab/message call backs, talking with upset clients, or managing staff.
